Patrol Overnight Ruan

The Patrol Overnight in the Clare County Campsite in Ruan was a great chance for the new Mustang, Panther and Buffalo patrols to work together.

The Scouts camped, cooked and did activities in their Patrols.
The Saturday and Sunday program was packed with activities.

- Build two 'Monkey Bridges' with Ropes and Pullies.
- Make a Kite and fly it.
- Do night navigation around the campsite using bearings, map and compass.
- Construct a 10 minute tower (which actually took an hour and a half!).
- Launch a Rocket fueled with vinegar and bread soda.
- Find position on a map using triangulation.

Everyone had a great camp, Scouts and Leaders alike.
Facilities at the campsite are great and the camping field is dry all year round.
